Abstract:
Belonging to the family of Bufonidae which are composed of more than 480
species in the world, Incilius Alvarius is unique in the way that not only does it thrive
in one of the hottest and driest places in the planet but contains in its venom glands
up to 15-20% of 5 Meo DMT. It spends nine months underground in deep hibernating
sleep, evading the deadly hot rays and heat from this desert, and it is not until the
monsoon season arrives and it is by lighting bolts and thunders that it wakes up and
comes out to eat and reproduce completing its life cycle. I strongly believe Toad
medicine is powerful enough and capable of giving us clarity into one’s true nature,
achieving full liberation and healing ourselves, our planet, and awakening humanity
caught in the web of ego made illusions, beliefs, perceptions and Cosmo visions. And
by dissolving the ego completely it enables us to fully experience the full spectrum of
Life’s energetic reality. Unfortunately now after a couple of years I have observed a
greedy reaction towards this amphibious being, and have clearly seen an important
decrease in numbers both in the American portion of the Sonoran Desert as well as on
the Mexican side.
We are affecting a unique ecosystem not found anywhere in the planet, and directly
affecting a marvelous toad called the mythical Sonoran Desert Toad, Bufo Alvarius, or
Colorado River Toad now called Incilius Alvarius.
That’s the reason why we have managed to found the Bufo Alvarius Foundation to
protect this specie from the human demographic explosion and extraction of its
natural habitat.
